A series of images highlighting the expressions possible within a portrait. In these, I try to create a frank connection between the subject and viewer. This is in contrast with traditional portraiture, where colour, posing, and lighting might flatter the subject, but at the expense of creating an impenetrable facade, denying the existence of a subject-viewer relationship.
